description: Reproduce a bug with a failing test before proposing any cause
argument-hint: [description of the bug]

There is a bug: $ARGUMENTS
Do not propose a cause yet. Follow this exactly:
1. Ask me for anything you need to reproduce it that I have not given you —
the exact input, the exact observed output, the environment. Do not guess
at these.
2. Write the smallest test that reproduces the failure. Put it in the
correct existing test file for that code; do not create a new file if a
suitable one exists.
3. Run it. Show me the actual output.
4. If it fails: confirm it fails for the reason we expect, not a different
reason. Quote the assertion and the actual value.
5. If it does NOT fail: stop. Tell me it does not reproduce and what that
implies. Do NOT adjust the test until it fails — that produces a
reproduction of a different bug.
Do not write a fix. Do not modify any non-test file. Stop after step 4 or 5
and wait. The rest of The Agent Operating Kit is written the same way. $39 once, yours permanently, 14-day refund.
