Cursor is a full editor rather than a plugin, which lets it change the editing experience itself: multi-line predictive edits, an agent mode that plans and applies changes across files, and codebase-wide retrieval so chat has context without you pasting. It supports rules files that pin project conventions, and can run agents in the background or on remote machines.
